Our 28th Annual Ladies Retreat was held at Camp Virgil Tate in April. Our speaker was Polly Smith of Alum Creek who presented 3 wonderful lessons on "What Not to Wear".

During the months of September and October, many of the Nitro family participated in our "An Apple A Day Keeps Satan Away". We selected apples from two trees and then did whatever the apple said to do...such as "Contact a neighbor and ask if you can be of help". Even our children participated. We had the Apple Fest to celebrate the conclusion of this event.
April 2010 "Fashion Show" (33 Photos)
The "Fashion Show" that followed our Potluck Dinner used clothing that has been donated to our Clothing Ministry. As you can see,very nice clothing is donated to share with the community.
December 2009 Horse and Carriage Rides (13 Photos)
We created quite a stir in Nitro Saturday night when Bill & Caroline Archibald brought their horses and carriage down for us to ride in. Over 70 folks spent 3 hours drinking hot chocolate, eating snacks and taking turns riding and singing as we drove around the block. It was fun to see the neighbors coming outside to watch us. It was especially fun when families stopped their cars and asked if they could ride too. Of course we told them to hop on board! We would like to thank Bill and Caroline for some wonderful memories that were created Saturday night!
